Nicole Golf Lab Announces Next-Generation 3D Biomechanical Golf Swing Analysis

Nicole Golf Lab Announces Next-Generation 3D Biomechanical Golf Swing Analysis

The app with 3D motion will be downloable in 21.10.2026

New technology will transform ordinary golf swing videos into interactive 3D movement analysis

October 2026 — An advanced digital platform for golf swing analysis and AI-powered coaching, today announced the development of a new Professional 3D Biomechanical Analysis feature that will bring a new level of movement analysis directly to golfers and coaches.

The new feature will be introduced as a third analysis option within the application, alongside the platform’s existing AI Swing Analysis and Video Swing Analysis tools.

The goal is simple: turn an ordinary golf swing video into a detailed, interactive representation of the golfer’s body movement and provide meaningful biomechanical insights that can help golfers better understand how they move during the swing.

From video to 3D biomechanics

With the new Professional 3D Biomechanical Analysis, users will be able to upload a golf swing video and receive an advanced analysis of body movement throughout the swing.

The system will use computer vision and pose estimation technology to identify key body landmarks and reconstruct an estimated 3D representation of the golfer’s movement.

The analysis is designed to examine areas including:

  • Pelvis rotation
  • Shoulder and torso rotation
  • Spine angle
  • Hip movement
  • Head movement
  • Knee and elbow positions
  • Arm movement
  • X-Factor
  • X-Factor Stretch
  • Swing phases
  • Kinematic sequencing
  • Movement patterns
  • Timing of body segments

Users will also be able to explore the swing through an interactive 3D skeleton, allowing them to rotate the viewing angle, zoom in, replay the movement and examine individual phases of the swing.

Understanding the sequence of the golf swing

One of the most important elements of the new system will be its ability to analyze the kinematic sequence of the swing.

The platform will examine how different body segments contribute to the movement, including the pelvis, torso, arms and, where reliably detectable, the club.

Instead of simply telling a golfer that something is “wrong,” the system will provide a visual representation of when different parts of the body reach key points in the swing.

This can help golfers and coaches better understand movement patterns that may otherwise be difficult to see with the naked eye.

A new level of golf analytics

The new feature will be integrated directly into the application’s main dashboard.

Users will be able to choose between three levels of analysis:

AI Swing Analysis
Personalized AI-powered feedback and coaching insights.

Video Swing Analysis
Traditional technical analysis of the golfer’s swing video.

Professional 3D Biomechanical Analysis
Advanced 3D movement analysis with biomechanical measurements, interactive visualization and kinematic sequencing.

This approach is designed to allow golfers to choose the level of analysis that best matches their needs.

Built for golfers and coaches

The technology is being designed not only for individual golfers but also for golf professionals, coaches and academies.

The platform will provide structured data that can help coaches examine movement patterns over time and potentially compare different swings.

Future development is expected to include features such as:

  • Swing-to-swing comparison
  • Reference swing comparison
  • Historical biomechanical data
  • Multi-camera analysis
  • Advanced professional studio mode
  • Athlete profiles
  • Coach dashboards
  • Higher-precision 3D reconstruction

AI meets biomechanics

Following the biomechanical analysis, the platform’s AI layer will interpret the collected data and translate complex movement information into understandable coaching insights.

For example, instead of presenting only a numerical measurement, the system may explain how a particular movement pattern relates to the overall swing sequence and provide practical suggestions for improvement.

This combination of computer vision, 3D movement analysis and artificial intelligence is intended to make advanced golf analytics more accessible to everyday golfers.

Designed with measurement transparency in mind

The development team emphasizes that video-based 3D analysis is fundamentally different from laboratory-grade motion capture.

When analysis is performed from a standard single-camera video, measurements are generated through computer vision and should therefore be understood as video-derived biomechanical estimates, rather than laboratory measurements.

The platform will use confidence scores and measurement-quality indicators where appropriate. If a particular metric cannot be reliably calculated from the available video, the system will not generate or present an artificial value.

This approach is intended to provide golfers with useful analytical information while maintaining transparency about the limitations of video-based measurement.

The future of accessible golf technology

Professional motion analysis has traditionally required specialized equipment, multiple cameras and dedicated facilities.

The new 3D Biomechanical Analysis feature aims to bring a portion of this analytical experience to a much broader audience through a simple workflow:

Record. Upload. Analyze. Understand. Improve.

By combining modern computer vision, 3D visualization and AI coaching, [Golf App Name] is working toward a future where golfers can gain a deeper understanding of their movement without requiring a complex technical setup.

The Professional 3D Biomechanical Analysis feature is currently under development and will be introduced as part of a future application update.
